MEMBERSHIP WITH CANADIAN INTERAGENCY SECURITY ADVISORY FORUM (CISAF)

Cuso International is a member of the newly-formed Canadian Interagency Security Advisory Forum (CISAF). Last week, Cuso had the pleasure of hosting, on behalf of CISAF, a two-day workshop on psychosocial crisis response and psychological first aid.The workshop provided concrete strategies for responders to use when faced with vicarious trauma. It also offered practical tools to support staff and volunteers through crisis situations. Participants included staff from the Canadian Red Cross, Plan Canada, CARE Canada, the Canadian Hunger Foundation, WUSC, Canada World Youth, SUCO and Cuso International.
