U-GIRLS 2

U-GIRLS 2 provided tutorials, mentorship, leadership training, and learning resources to support girls in staying in school and reaching their full potential. By building confidence, skills, and support networks, girls were better equipped to lead in the classroom and beyond.

Through gender-sensitization workshops, parents, teachers, and community members examined harmful norms and strengthened their commitment to girls’ education. By shifting attitudes at home and in schools, the program helped create safer, more supportive environments for girls to thrive.

The program strengthened the capacity of teachers and school administrators to deliver inclusive, gender-sensitive education.

Training also connected gender equality and climate action, equipping participants with practical knowledge on environmental sustainability. Schools engaged in activities such as tree planting, creating green spaces, and adopting environmentally responsible practices reinforcing that girls’ education and environmental leadership go hand in hand.

U-GIRLS 2 recognized that gender equality requires the active participation of boys and men.

Through positive masculinity training, male students, teachers, and community members explored and challenged harmful gender norms, fostering allyship and shared responsibility for equality.

Financial pressure is a key reason girls leave school.

The program supported families with business training to improve household income and reduce economic barriers to education helping ensure girls could remain in school.

Education cannot succeed without emotional support.

Through initiatives such as Multi-Family Healing Spaces, the program addressed mental health and psychosocial needs particularly for girls affected by conflict and displacement fostering resilience, healing, and holistic well-being.

U-GIRLS 2 demonstrated that when education, gender equality, economic empowerment, and environmental action come together, change is possible.

As the program concludes, its impact continues in classrooms, communities, and in the lives of the girls who now carry their leadership forward.
