International Day Against Homophobia Transphobia And Biphobia 2024

Today, on International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia, we renew our call for respect, equality, freedom, and justice for all citizens of the world – however they identify, wherever they live, and whomever they love.

Cuso International is a long-time ally of 2SLGBTQI+ individuals and communities, namely through our programs in the Democratic Republic of Congo and the Caribbean. As an organization that works every day toward gender equality and social inclusion, we understand that diversity tolerates no exceptions.

This year, we are celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). This document underpins more than 70 human right treaties recognized either globally or regionally. We are proud that Canada was one of the initial UDHR signatories, and we commit to championing for the rights of 2SLGBTQI+ through our work and in our networks.

Dignity is everyone’s birthright. We all belong.
