Ottawa, Canada – Cuso International welcomes today’s announcement by the Honourable Christian Paradis, Minister of International Development and La Francophonie, of the Canadian government’s support for the Volunteers for International Cooperation and Empowerment (VOICE) program.

“Through VOICE we will deliver focused and responsive programing with our partners to ensure impact and accountability for poor and marginalized communities,” says Evelyne Guindon, Cuso International Chief Executive Officer.

The VOICE program will improve the economic and social well-being of poor and marginalized communities in targeted countries.

VOICE is part of the Government of Canada’s commitment to promoting sustainable economic growth, access to health services, and gender equality and social inclusion around the globe. The 5 year program is made possible by the generous $65 million contribution from the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada (DFATD).
