Cuso International appoints new Chief Operating Officer, Cory Leblanc

OTTAWA, ON, Canada. February 1, 2023 – Cuso International is pleased to announce the appointment of its new Chief Operations Officer (COO), Cory Leblanc, effective February 6, 2023.

Cory comes to Cuso International with a decade of experience in the international development sector. Most recently, Cory was the Vice President for Cowater International’s Public Financial Management and Accountability Division, where in addition to overseeing the delivery and operations of a $140M portfolio of projects across Latin America, Africa and Asia, led the development of business plans, growth strategies, and partnerships with private, public and academic institutions.

As a COO, Cory will bring his leadership and business acumen to various administrative, operational and finance functions of Cuso International to ensure policies, processes and controls directly support the implementation of its Strategic Plan.

“Cory’s comprehensive understanding of international development strategy during some of the most turbulent times we have seen globally will serve him well in this new expanded role for the organization,” said Nicolas Moyer, Cuso International Chief Executive Officer. “As COO, I know he will drive positive outcomes for Cuso International as we embark on a new strategic plan.”

Cory holds a Master’s Degree in International Affairs from Carleton University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Trent University. He is also a Chartered  Professional Accountant (CPA).
