GLENN MIFFLIN TO LEAD CUSO INTERNATIONAL AS CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

OTTAWA, MARCH 22, 2017: Lloyd Axworthy, Chair of the Board of Directors ofGlenn Mifflin CusoInternational, announced today that C. Glenn Mifflin will assume the position of Chief Executive Officer of Cuso International. Mifflin, who joined the organization’s Board of Directors in December 2015, has been serving in an interim CEO role since early January after the departure of previous CEO Evelyne Guindon. During his tenure as Treasurer and in the interim role, Mifflin has had the opportunity to become familiar with the operations of Cuso International and appreciate the complexities of an organization that delivers real change through its operations in more than 20 countries. 

 “At this important time of growth and opportunity for Cuso International, Glenn brings a solid background in organizational management, finance and governance,” said Axworthy. “We were fortunate to have him step in to guide the organization through a period of transition and are very pleased that he will take on the role full time.” 

A Chartered Professional Accountant, Mifflin most recently served as the Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Board Director of a $4B mid-stream energy company in Eastern Canada. Since his retirement, he has taken an active role in many provincial and national non-profit organizations. In addition to serving as Treasurer of Cuso International, he is also Secretary-Treasurer of The Rooms Foundation, a Director of the Newfoundland Chapter of the Institute of Corporate Directors and past Chair of the Newfoundland and Labrador Advisory Board to the Canadian Coast Guard. He remains a Board Director and Member of the Audit Committee of Newfoundland Power, Inc.
