As part of the SHARE project from 2021 to 2023, women of their land rights, secured land with tree planting, and strengthened advocacy skills among women leaders and model husbands in Borgou.

Empowering Vulnerable Girls in Comè

This micro-project will provide vocational training in fashion accessories for vulnerable young girls, including single mothers, enabling them to start income-generating activities. Local leaders will identify beneficiaries, and women leaders will offer guidance on gender issues.

"Due to the ADC, the micro-credit organizations agree to give us loans to set up income-generating activities, which enables us to buy tree seedlings to secure our land. This training today has also enabled me to learn about the importance of trees and the reasons why foresters protect them. I wouldn't blame them anymore because it's for the good of us all. At the end of this course, I realized that the different species that have disappeared can be reconstituted. I'll be planting shea and cashew on my daughter's plot, which also has the ADC. When she comes of age, she'll be able to enjoy her plantation to the fullest."
