According to the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR), the number of Cameroonians fleeing violence and seeking refuge in neighbouring Nigeria has crossed the 30,000 mark, stressing that the needs are outpacing assistance efforts. And 1.6 million Venezuelans are living in Colombia, more than three per cent of its population, with numbers rising daily and adding new tensions in Colombia.
In this Town Hall, we delve into the migrant crises in Colombia and Nigeria, our projects in the two countries, and look at the importance of developing programs that focus on both refugees and host community members.
