Each volunteer has a story to tell! To mark the 30th anniversary of International Development Week, Canada’s international volunteer programs invite you to a human library that will highlight international volunteers and their impactful contributions toward change in the communities with which they have worked around the world.

Through exciting conversations, meet living books and learn from their experience and their contribution toward improving lives around the world.
Four rounds will be organized to let you participate as much as you desire (5pm, 5:40pm, 6:20pm and 7:30pm)!

How does a human library work?
Each round of conversations will last twenty minutes. Before each round you will have to choose the story you want to hear and then go to meet the human behind the story. Intrigued? A link to the virtual library will be sent to you a few weeks before the event.

Our team will be happy to help you navigate through the process! It’s easier than you think!
