E-volunteering was an opportunity for Nicholas to share his skills in fund development, proposal writing, evaluation and international relations with an organization that needed help. Two of his proposals were successful in securing funding to the St. Patrick’s Foundation in Kingston, Jamaica.
Q- What part of your work are you most proud of?
A- “Every proposal I worked on with St. Patrick’s served as a great learning opportunity for both parties. I’m proud that I was able to use my skill set to make a meaningful contribution.”
Q- What aspect of you volunteer post do you enjoy the most?
A- “While I am a seasoned volunteer, this was my first time working with Cuso on an assignment of this nature. Working remotely with an organization that I previously knew nothing about was very rewarding and exciting.”
Q- What about volunteering with Cuso inspires you?
A- “My mission is to be an instrument of positive change in my family, work and community. The e-volunteering program was a great way to do just that. I am grateful to Cuso for this opportunity to make a difference.”
