Commitment to transparency.

Cuso International has many stakeholders, including volunteers, donors, partners, beneficiaries, government agencies and institutional funders. In the spirit of transparency and accountability, we make our annual reports available to all our stakeholders.

HIGHLIGHTS FROM OUR MOST RECENT REPORT

In 2016–2017, 292 Cuso International volunteers and 265 e-volunteers worked with 278 local partners in 20 developing countries throughout Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Latin America and Canada to reduce poverty and inequality.

Together with our partners, we have:

  • contributed to the well-being of beneficiary communities and touched the lives of over 617,325 people
  • engaged diaspora communities through funding projects and mobilizing their communities to help their countries of origin

We have also engaged thousands of Canadians in our work by sharing Cuso International’s mission and vision and supporting Canada’s strong role in international development.

CODE OF CONDUCT

We adhere to high standards of service delivery and accountability.

Cuso International is a signatory to a number of codes of conduct that govern our practices. We are a member of Imagine Canada, as well as several provincial and regional Councils for International Cooperation, and we adhere to the Association of Fundraising Professionals’ Code of Ethical Principles & Standards.

Our Board of Directors has also approved an accountability framework that is part of our organization’s day-to-day operations to ensure we adhere to high standards of service delivery and accountability.
