With a goal to raise $5,000 for Cuso International's work around the world, 45 people in Lima, Peru, 10 in Charlottetown, PEI, and 4 in St. John's, NL took part in a Run for the World in October.
The runners participated in the PEI marathon, a 5K in Newfoundland and another 5K in Peru – all raising funds to send more professionals to share skills where they are needed most.
Alanna MacNevin, who helped organize the run in Peru, had this to say:
"Everyone came together to create a huge success! We had a great team here in Lima and we want to do it again next year"!
